just an FYI that i got my s4r back from stuart yesterday morning for a general service, and it runs make the beast with two backsing amazing now...  totally different bike in the powerplant department...i find myself all over the throttle now just because the revs feel so much better, and this is with a 15t front sprocket.  and the best part is the guy's prices!  (and the fact that he had the bike done in just a few days)

anyway, just wanted to let you all know of a great experience with him; i've always heard great things about him, but i know them to be true firsthand now.     i'm sure this isn't news to a lot of you, but just thought i'd throw it out there for what it's worth.  PM me if you wanted to know any particulars or needed his phone # or whatever.

remove the clubs on both sides, and you should be good-to-go.

i dunno why either, but i know if you delete those clubs on both sides, it works.

Absolutely +2 on what Rich said. I too got my bike back from Stuart that day and was also amazed. For some reason I was not getting full throttle it felt to me and now I gots more than I need. Sturart changed out the front and rear (black and gold alloy/Alum) sprockets and put on a sweet gold-sided chain. He must have tweaked/checked everything cuz it runs like a monster on acid now. HUGE difference in the way it handles now. Next up for RED will be some new Bridgestones and a gel seat.

But, yeah, Stuart is THE MAN ! At any price.

It's a hike for me to get from downtown Dallas to Stuart's shop - does he have the kind of place that you can ride in early Saturday a.m. and wait on the bike or is it strictly a "drop-off" proposition?  Thanks.

+1 - I'm looking for a general maintenance procedure (oil, flush hydraulics, check out carbs, valves) kind-a-thing, and would like to also ask about things like tires, p/c wheels, and 90 valve stems... Can I just show up on a morning and drop off, or wait around, or schedule appt?

I suppose I could call and ask all these things, but hearing from FHE gives me a good overall picture before I contact him.

not sure about waiting around for it to be serviced.  i think he pretty much will work around what anyone needs, so it will probably just depend on what he's got going on for when you're proposing to stop in.  for mine i needed a large amount of work done so i was fine with dropping it off.  i would just give him a ring and see what he's open to.  i will say that from what i saw and what i've heard from others, he does seem like the type that would *generally* be cool with people observing services.  but that is only an estimation at best.

at any rate though, even if you have to drop it off...he works very efficiently and you'll still be able to pick up your bike in short order.

sweet.  i plan on being around the rVSm also.  not sure if i can make it out friday; a friend of mine is throwing a party friday night in plano.  but i'll be shooting for saturday and/or sunday fun.  i told stuart about it too...he was out there for the first one, sounded like he might try to make it out for some of it this year too.

First +1 on Stuart. He did an awesome job and was really fast.

As far as the tires go he recommended that I buy them on-line and have them shipped directly to him. 

I think he will accommodate your schedule for the most part. He let me drop my bike off on a Friday night. I know he would rather not have you in the shop while he works. I asked and he told me that he would prefer not having the customer watch. I can tell you that a lot of wrenches are like that and most will tell you that if it can go wrong it will if the customer is watching.
