Wasn't all that hard after you remove the swingarm. Just make sure you tape up all the important things like threads, etc.

I actually had it sand blasted to remove any crap that was on it after I cleaned it. Also make sure you use an epoxy primer.

What were the actual products you used? I.e the paint the primer etc.

It was SEM Metalock DTM Epoxy Primer with MLH14 Metalock Hardener and SEM HR010 Hot Rod Black.

If you still have the wheel off, pull the caliper bracket back off and paint it.  Oh, and the sprocket retainer too.      

Nice job Monstermash, looks good. Guess I know what my next winter project will be.

Swing arm looks great!  Thats the way the bike should have come from the factory.

Was the SEM paind from a rattle can or spray gun? edit google is your friend... Spray gun...

Make sure you have a parts catalog handy and print out any pages which show the parts you will be working with so you have it for reference.

Once you have the swingarm off be sure you clean it well. I actually had it sandblasted just to be sure.

The epoxy primer is key as well. Do NOT use regular primer if you want the paint to say on longer than your first ride.

Make sure you mask off all the threaded holes. To make it easy just tape off the heads of the bolts that go in the holes and then thread them into the holes.

The Hot Rod black should be baked to cure it after it's been painted.
