My meeting got rescheduled 

With me, Ron, Lisa, and Malynn confirmed ( and hopefully a few others ) this is going to be a cavalcade of hotness that you don't want to miss.  if you have not yet quit your job to attend this special luncheon, then I pity your mortal soul for the pangs of regret and sense of loss that will haunt you till the end of your thin, empty days...

"Pangs of regret" I can deal with, but pangs of hunger are a different story. I may be a little late. (CDC is my role model)

Pangs of regret. I like that. I think I may change my board name to that. Glad you guys had a good time. I really need to try and make a group lunch or dinner one of these days. I won't say which one, I'll just show up... that way you can't secretly change it.

I knew I'd regret not getting the soup.  Next time I'll not keep changing my mind.  Maybe if the waiter had been more insistent.....

The soup was mighty tasty. Our waitress was adamant about what I should eat too. When she asked what I wanted to drink, she wouldn't accept that I wanted water, insisting that a "drink" came with the lunch special. I ordered a salad and she said, "do you want chicken on that?". When I replied in the negative she didn't like that answer and told me how "everybody says it's really good". Ok fine, I'll get the chicken. She says, "do you want soup?". Again when I said no, she insisted that I have some on the grounds that "it's really good". In the end she was right on all counts, so maybe you should have forgone the pretense of personal choice and just had the soup.
