Spies will win every single race this year! Nobody ever did 3 out of 4 rounds Wins as a rookie before...   most of the rookies did 3 crashes in 4 races...

So was Spies ever approached by Ducati to ride in WSBK?  Bet he was now.  Haga and Spies, anyone?   

good question Lisa.  why is it the most aggressive riders are with Yami?  I'd love to see Valentino and Spies, although I like Stoner but he's not nearly as crazy as the Doctor.

if you read his book he said they approached him but he didnt like the idea of promotic Ducatis all day long when he isnt racing (he did that with Honda and he hated it)

Plus vale will stay for one more or two years in MotoGp and then Rally Racing...

Spies  Will try this year for the title and Yamaha might put him on a Tech 3 yamaha Replacment for Edwards, who's about to Retire anyway!

Danny Eslick might get a WSBK ride for 2010 with his good perofmrnaces this year.

Actually if i was Ducati i would  talk to Eslick for second rider replacment for Fabrizio

Yep, that was one interesting interview. Eslick looked like he was going to have to break up a fight or get stuck in the middle of one. Hacking certainly didn't do his team or sponsors any good acting like a prick. Fined and suspended. Nice. Makes me want to throw away my Arai Hacking replica helmet. Embarassing.

i think if he (hacking) continued afterwards then he should be suspended. in order for a sport to grow you have to have good guys and bad guys. the bad guys however have to be clean racers and still respectful. i understand what they are trying to do and so far i believe they are really onto something with the daytona class. i also agree that new ownership comes in and says "hey this is how it's gonna be done irregardless who u are." there should be the one guy either everyone loves or loves to hate. the only example i can really think of is jeff gordon in his early days of nascar. everyone hated this kid because he drove so hard all the time and beat all the old gaurd, but he was respectful which garnered him much praise after several years. rossi is another good example. not everyone likes the guy but he races very hard and forces everyone to bring a lunch because it's a long day if your gonna beat up the doctor. which in my eyes is why not one person can say he sucks as a racer or he is a disrespectful racer. sure he rode stoner's arse at leguna. hey kid get up dust yourself off and go show this guy what you are made of. 

Good one Chris. Good example using Gordon/NASCAR and Rossi is unbelievable. Who could argue with that. He'd podium on a Vespa. He transcends the brand of bike he rides. I've said it before, we are all lucky to be around during his reign to see him race. And have you ever seen anyone more entertaining during a post race interview? Does he ever stop having fun? I know it's really hard work but that guy knows he has the best job in the world for him. He's just fun to watch.

Anyway, does anyone know the history of the bad vibes between Hacking and DiSalvo? They've never been on the same team and I have never read about or have seen any crap between them on the track. You see that nonsense occasionally in NASCAR... bumping, hooking, fist fights after the wreck, fines, etc. But I had know idea Hacking was so pissy about DiSalvo and I agree with Jason, he didn't talk with Eslick during Hacking's interview. Eslick leaned over and said something to DiSalvo, but all he did was grin and nod. Never spoke. Weird. No not weird, stupid on Hackings part. The team should be furious at him.

They were? Guess I don't remember that. I have always associated Hacking with Kawis and DiSalvo with Yammihammers. I pay attention to AMA stuff but not that close. I can see that being the place where all this BS started. Hacking's too old to be acting that way. Expect that from some immature racer but I thought he knew better. I bet he knows it now.

Any plans for a watching party?

I knew you were right and that pic does jog what's left of my memory. Like I said, for some reason I have Hacking stuck as a Kawi rider. Kind of like Duhamel/Honda or Mladin/Suzook. They must have had some sort of "issue" back then that maybe still exists today. But Hacking sure was acting weird through the whole press conference.  Major uptight body language, like he was looking for a scene. Oh well, pay the fine, serve the suspension and lets all move on.
