Alternate Bearing resources in New England, MA or NH,

Anyone know an alternate source for steering bearings other then local Ducati dealers in the MA & NH area? Got quote from local dealership for nearly $150 will pay if needed or if anyone has input that suggests aftermarket is not the way to go. Had triple clamp powder coated and lower bearing is garbage now.

My Tapered rollers were like $50 bucks from my dealer...

Who gave you that qoute?

Wagner Motor Sports out of Worcester MA. Who is your dealer I'll call them. It's nothing special it's a standard 99 M750 Dark. I'm sure they are all same within model year right?

I would try Eastern...

I would think that they are all the same though.

FWIW the head bearings on the older Monsters are more expensive.

Check out Speedy Moto for a better deal than what Wagner gave you. Probably better quality too.

OK so double checked with Wagner & It turns out he gave me approx with dust seals. It really ended up being $110 for everything if I order.  Thanks everyone! Any tips on removal of bearing races from the column?

The races drive right out.

The lower bearing which is pressed on the stem can be a bear.

Be careful of the washer underneath it....it will sustain some anyway you do it, but should be reusable.

I drove my races out of the column with a pry bar and a hammer.

As for the lower race on the stem I tried the wedge somethin in and lever it evenly up the stem but that definately was not having any effect so I ended up bringing it to mechanic in town who had a Special tool. He charge 5 bucks for removal.
