Hey gang -

I'm taking the GF to get some riding gear this weekend, any recommendations of a decently priced retail store?  Any sales going on?  ;D

I'm near Boston BTW

Thanks!
Adam

PS: Looking for some "entry level" gear, she will be getting the good stuff later in the season once she falls in love with riding  ;)

Watch for open house specials, like at MotoMarket April 4.

Seacoast Sportcycle in tax-free NH does a great job of fitting and finding the right stuff for you.  See Pat, she'll get it right.  Again, shop the specials.  You can always ask for a package deal.

I've had mixed results buying on line -- sizing & fit, paying return shipping, getting new but old stock items, so I've decided to stay local and try everything on.

And agree with DesmoLu -- no skimping!  I made the mistake of buying a NOS helmet on line for $70, what a bargain, but then later bought a new, fresh Shoei locally, so in the end, you could say that I paid an extra $70 for the good helmet.  Get a nifty Ducati jacket, riding can become an excuse to wear sharp gear.  Just my POV, speaking from experience  ...  8)

Yeah, they only charge an extra 10% over retail during an open house as opposed to the noraml 20%.  [laugh]

Qfactor

cycle 128 has a decent inventory of entry level gear, as much as I hate to guide anyone there.

GBM also has good inventory.

Picked up some Cortech gear and a nice helmet at BROCKTON CYCLE CENTER! - their gear selection was awesome ... Nicely sized showroom for gear.

For what it's worth, HJC scored better in real world testing for a helmetin Sportrider I believe.  As you know, Adam, I did TONS of research when I got my first Arai.  Just make sure it fits her head right and is comfy!
