Any recommendations on a brand / model and torque range for all general maintenance?

I've got my eye on the following brand:

I just use my Craftsman 1/2”--guaranteed for life

I've got the big and the little Craftsman to get the full range, both with reversible ratchet drive.  I'd like to get the calibration checked sometime, but they've done real well for me for many years.

Dang I need to upgrade to a ratchet drive model--i'm still old school....

Ratchet is great, I love the clicker style.

My dad had the old school model, with the big long needle that deflected against a scale.  Talk about impossible to read while your torquing something critical....  Wish I had a picture, bet most of you haven't even seen one of those!
