I´m planning the next mods and I really love the full tail chop right on the tail light line, however living in Germany  I´m concern about the TuV  [leo], as it changes geometry of the bike, turn signals, and maybe exhaust poping up... is there anyone who did a tail chop in Germany (Berlin?) and got away with a green TuV??   ???

???. how does a tail chop change the geometry of the bike? and it shouldn't affect decibel level neither. you just have to remount the turnsignals or buy some aftermarket ones.

Am I missing something? is there a law requiring a full rear fender on bikes?

I'm not familiar with Tuv certification. What about using Ducati Performance's tail chop kit? It seems Euro friendly and it's OEM.

Thanks for the feedback, but apparently the DP kit is not available in their web page...

the tail chop changes the dimensions (and geometry) of the bike, it will be shorter than what the papers say and the exhausts will be farther out than the tail light, not sure if this could be an issue for the TUV certification as well... anyone has tried a tail chop in Germany?

thanks, this is  a great place to learn and to share!

If the license plate have a maximum angle of 30 degrees it will be ok. I' ve  never had problems with the tuv.  [thumbsup]
