Seconding a couple...
Le Samourai - Fantastic!!!
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - A real sleeper of a movie... really snuck up on me. Really great!

British:
The Limey - Peter Fonda vs. Terence Stamp
Sexy Beast - Ben Kingsley being a total badass
Revolver - Just came out on DVD.

Spanish:
Intacto

That's enough for now. :)

Crap. I forgot the important part... I'm watching 2001 right now. With commentary from the actors playing Bowman and Poole. The Poole actor keeps rambling.

LMT

Tough Enough.  Dennis Quaid, 1982.  He enters a toughman competition and has to fight his way to the top.  The event promoters are worried about gov intervention due to the brutality of the show.

Good flick.

Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

Hedwig and the Angry Inch

This one was recommended by Netflix after I had watched the rock opera Tommy. If you liked Rocky Horror Picture Show (or similar), chances are you'll like this one. It's a tad homoerotic here and there but has a pretty damn good soundtrack.

Total Recall - first R rated movie I ever saw.  Arnold and a lady with 3 boobs, 'nuff said

Over the top - Sly Stalone: a struggling trucker and an arm wrestling contest

The Goonies -  "Hey you guys!!!"

ho'sheeeee... man, i remember this one.  deep, hurtful, intense.  at the time i first saw it we were thinking other places, but now we've got Gitmo.   :-[
totally worth watching.  in the lightest terms: remember the imprisonment scenes from "V for Vendetta"?  this movie is about that process.
takes serious stones to watch.
