Kallio was up with those 3 guys when raced in 250s i cant see what the other 3 guys can do more than Mika.... They bike is just unreadable no matter who you are or Casey Stoner is that good and rides fast on a piece of shit (exhuse my French!)

Maybe Ducati should keeped Loris Capirossi, he was from the start with the Desmosedici team and my the end of his Ducati carrier he scored podiums and wins! He knew how to develop the bike... the other guys at this moment DONT.... [drink]

Take a look on what Rossi did to yamaha, the bike was a pile of Junk till 2004  now  they leading every race!

Lisa Marco Melandri is a World Champion in 250cc... i think a double world champion and he has a few good motogp wins on his resume... :-X

Is there any consensus on the rideability problem challenges of the Desmo?  The camera view from Stoner's front fork was downright scary: the whole front end seemed to be in a jittery speed-wobble most of the time.  Maybe the power delivery is so abrupt the front end is never actually down... It's the ultimate Italian unicycle  :o

I had forgotten about Melandri's 250 experience.  What's that old saying, "You're only as good as your last race"?  Glad to see he's back in race-winning form.

g, i was just throwing ideas against the wall. i thought about kallio. could be their best bet especially if capi wouldn't come back. you never know what happens behind the scenes and if some people hold grudges.
home will always be between the red and rio!!!

I think the suzuki has more potential for Capirossi at this moment than the 800cc Ducati. After all, Capi is fastest on some tests on the suzuki, he just needs to figure out how to be fast consistently.

Great race stuff this weekend! WSBK from South Africa... very exciting!! Great racing! MotoGP from LeMans... boring! No spoilers, just comments. Chime in and say what you think after you see the races or read the results. I always cheat and read the results long before TV broadcast. Once again, WSBK just kicks butt on MotoGP. My two cents. Enjoy!

Speaking of Memorial Day, know this: Larry Pegram will be Flat Tracking a SportClassic in Springfield this weekend. From the press release: "Larry Pegram will be returning to the flat track series at Springfield riding a special prepared Ducati 1000cc built by Lloyd Brothers and Team Pegram. Pegram has won two AMA Pro Grand National Flat Track events riding Hondas and one on the dominant XR750. We are taking the Ducati Sport 1000cc as a our base line," said Pegram. "After measuring it up, we found the chassis to be fairly close so we are sticking with a stock chassis. About the only thing we are changing is the steering head angle and shortening the swingarm. Pegram will be testing over the next couple weeks preparing for the Ducati debut at Springfield on May 24th."
Sideburn Mag (UK) hipped us to this along with an older picture of Pegram on a 916 based tracker. If near Springfield - go!

I don't suppose this would be aired on the sssPee'd Channel?
