Where do you guys go to get new tires and get them mounted?

JohnnyDucati

Why, Les Schwab, of course.  Oh, you mean for the bike.   ;D

Well, remember my work colleague with the black Daytona 675?  He is taking his tires & wheels to EDR.  They quoted him mounting for $85.

He hasn't scheduled yet, so I don't know how quickly they can get to it.

The dealer from which he purchased his Trump quoted him over $130 for mounting.

He got his tires off'n the interwebs or somewhere - don't remember.

Word up.  That's what I heard first hand.

I went to EDR last time.  I wouldn't go to the local triumph dealer in town they are total douches.  I went there this last weekend to look at the 675 and the guy blew me off.  Little did he know i was in the market for a bike and he blew a potential sale.

desmosome

i got my last tire there and then they put it on the wheel i brought in with me.

wham bamb thank you ma'am

corsa will do the same too

and you could prolly sumo suit wrestle while you wait....

The catch with Cycle Gear is you gotta put the bike on stands and take the wheels off yourself.  They won't remove/install wheels on the bike.

But...

They did the mounting and balancing for cheap last time I bought tires for the Duc.  It was either $20 per wheel, or $20 for both, I can't remember.  It was a lot cheaper than anywhere else, so Scott lent me his frontstand (mad propz to him) and I took the wheels off the bike myself.

Since then I bought my own frontstand, so I'll continue to take the wheels off myself and have the tires mounted/balanced for cheap.

Cycle Gear for me too.  I bought the tires there and had them mounted, I think it was $20/wheel.  Like Dan said, you only bring them the wheels.

If you want to go local I hear good things about Cheshire.  Vicious Cycle was also reasonable but they didn't have the tires I wanted in stock and i was unfortunately in a hurry at the time.  A little more pricey if you brought in your own tires purchased elsewhere.

The catch

No catch... think of it as a free front/rear stand with a few tire changes.

scott_araujo

Vicious will take the whole bike.  I bet Cheshire will too.

Yah, Cheshire will . . . I'm actually trying to get in to put on my new tires.

EDR appears to have raised their prices considerably.

Why not corsa for the onthebike change?

They usually can do it for you while you wait

I think it is like 50ish dollars...
