Here's a secret from Starbucks,

Recipe for perfect Starbucks black coffee: Aquire one French Press coffee maker, aquire one coffee grinder, aquire favorite Starbucks whole bean coffee, put water on to boil, grind coffee beans, input required amount of freshly ground coffee into French Press, pour almost-hot fresh water into said vessel, wait 4 minutes, pour perfect coffee into favorite coffee cup, enjoy. A daily ritual for me.
