If I don't go crazy and swing up to SLC this weekend, I will definitely be up for Taos on Saturday if it means free food for the duc...  Will I get fed too?
But of course...meal included :D
Let me know and I'll get you directions...

I was considering a route up 14 through Madrid to Santa Fe, then 285 to 502 into Bandelier.  In Bandelier, maybe pick up 4 to bypass Los Alamos (and it looks like a twistier road....but it's hard to judge the condition of that road....any advice?) and stay on 4 though Jemez to 550, then 550 back home.  Any thoughts?
I like to go that way, its a nice way, if you've never seen it maybe once is good and then move on to better stuff. I want to go but....

I found a dog tonight, I called the hotline (no direct # to the owners) and no call back yet so......I may be saddled home so to speak until the little dog is gone.

Well, if you change your mind the plan is to meet tomorrow morning (Friday) at the Cafe at Dawn at 9:30 and leave from there.

Heard you decided to go.  Dusty had an emergency in SF and I already knew I couldn't make it.  Hope you & cloner hooked up.

And as far as your quote goes.  What the make the beast with two backs are you talking about?
I promise to make better mistakes tomorrow.

Anyone still interested in heading up to Taos tomorrow?
I thought we could meet at the cafe at 10 and head out from there.  [moto]

We did the whole loop today and the best part, the end of bandolier and where the forest starts had FRESH gravel all along the side of the road. Had to really be careful but did hit some of the corners hard and the sweepers outside Madrid before and after are nice but then there's bicycles, swervers, cars pulling out and gravel, been there done that...that's all I'm sayin'...and I'm just sayin' my POV.......

+3 if we can meet at the Starbucks in Bernalillo.  We will be meeting Cloner there at 10 in the am and hope we can all do this together.  He has to be back fairly early to get ready for dinner guests tomorrow night but is excited to try a new road.  Post up or show.  [moto]  [moto]  [moto]
