Some questions about carb sync

I searched around for a bit and couldn't find any answers so....   Is it necessary to sync the carbs on a fuel injected monster?  I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to fuel delivery, not really even sure you call them carbs on an i.e. bike (throttle bodies?).  Anyway if it is something you have to sync up, how is it done?  The reason I ask is I've been getting a lot of popping when decelerating/compression braking and I've read that out of sync carb can be a cause.  And on that note, what are some other causes of popping I should maybe look into first.  As always, input on any of this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, throttle bodies do need to be synced as well.

You compare the vacuum between the two, using a manometer or sync meter.

What year and model of Monster are you talking about?

One cause of popping on decel is leaky exhaust.  I had taken my silencers off and just run the udder at the end of last season, and when I started riding with them on this year I got a pop on decel.  Re-aligned the flanges and installed a missing gasket and it hasn't popped since.  (This is stock exhaust BTW.)
