Test rode it again last Friday, demo with full Termignoni. Sounds awesome looks great, but I did not like the low bars and shorter wheel base. Traction control at level 8 I tried twice to power wheelie it would let me.  I also felt that my girlfriend would be very uncomfortable on the back worse than on the S4Rs.
If I had the extra cash I would buy one but for now I'm keeping the monster  [moto]

Grifo, isn't the wheel base of the S4R/RS shorter than on the StreetFighter Wheelbase: 58.1 in ?

I had planned to buy a Streetfighter since I 1st knew about it.

This last weekend I had my 1st opportunity to sit on one .

I liked what I saw , but since I have a S4Rs w, full Termignoni Exhaust , 14T front Sprocket, DP ECU and Open Air Box it's a damn fast Monster.

Also I have a '09 BMW K1300 GT which is more like a comfortable Sportbike than most would think. It handles very good.

Then there's the 1098 R, what can I say but.... it's a guided missile.

So, where does the Streetfighter fit in that stable?

I don't want to part with a 4500 mile S4Rs that runs like a Banshee,  handles super and have to shell out $11,000 to boot to get a bike that is slower than my " R " so as much as I like the Streetfighter I don't believe there's a place for it in my life.

I thought maybe I should buy one just to help my Dealer stay in business !

Times are really tough for my Dealer. I wonder if it's like that for other Ducati Dealers ?                    Dolph

True, but I feel this has been lost with the 696/1100. IMHO the new model is Monster Inc. or Prada Monster (you know, as an accessory). It's technically a better bike, but it's lost its edge.

The streetfighter might take its place, but it's just way to expensive to be able to.

last real monster was the Rs, I love mine...will never get rid of it

I guess it's  but the SF felt shorter...

saw one today in flesh.  Looks good and the ergo is just right....seriously thinking of selling my rs for a nice black Street Fighter S...

Since you rode one can you tell me if the clutch is more like the S4Rs or a 1098 ?    Dolph

Heh.  I have an S4Rs with full Termi, BST wheels, and ported & polished heads, high compression pistons, and degreed cams by Donnie Unger of DucPond.  I was looking at and sitting on the Streetfighter in his shop, talking about riding it (it's a demo) and he said "Tim, I've ridden it.  It's a nice bike.   You'd be disappointed in it compared to your Monster."   Since he's ridden both, I'll take his word for it!

It felt the same as my S4Rs but I also rode a 1098 a few times, and I didn't notice much of a difference.
