I had the brilliant idea the other day, to cover my bike in the rain as i hauled it down to connecticut for some riding and dyno work. of corse,ha, it was raining. so after 149 miles of travel,  and the plastic wacking against the windscreen and the cowl, it pretty much aged the pieces by about 5 years. now my windscreen is all cloudy and the plastic looks like its extremley dull.  (i know, i know, it couldn't have happend to a nicer guy, go ahead and chuckle at my misfortune you 696'ers. )  any how, do i need new plastics or is there some kind of technique or potion that can fix it?

for fine scratches in plastics you can try toothpaste as a fine abrasive polish,
and for the screen, there are polishes out there for this purpose i have heard of for flexible jeep style windows, etc....

I found Meguiar's ScratchX (from CycleGear) works decently for light scratches on plastic.

...or Meguiars Plastic polish will take out the deeper ones if you follow the directions.

If the clear on the cowl is scratched it will handle a light sand and buff.

mines held up well for a couple years and i know theyre cheap,
but will any of these buff out light stuff...?

no FHE with the scratch-x, but the plastic polish works great on things you' think were terminal.
