Samsonite, Jeff was the only instructor that had to leave, which still left two AMS people to provide the instruction (I think there were only seven or eight riders registered that day... One guy was picking up his new Desmosidici  :o ).

Aside from the on-track incident already discussed, I thought it was a good, instructional day.  I liked the immediate video feedback and individual attention; a picture is worth a thousand words and all that.  I'm still not where I want to be skill level-wise but it's not for lack of instruction  [bang]  [laugh]

I find it surprising that you guys so willingly just throw Scott under the bus here.  I may not have been there, but Scott is definately not the kind of guy to just wrecklessly toss his bike into a corner out of control and hit someone else.  There may have been a mistake involved, but this happens on trackdays to be entirely honest.  We can take sides based upon either person's "story" of the situation, but thrashing someone on the boards is a bit juvenile in my opinion.  We're grown folks and we know what can happen on a track.  We know mistakes can happen, because we've all made them before.  I've had a few bikes get stuffed underneath me before, one of which works at AMS.  I had to adjust line or hit them, but I didn't track them down and chew them out.  I trust most of the people around here and I know there isn't malice involved.

In this type of situation, both riders are going to be angry and pointing fingers.  Better to let it cool off, meet up somewhere, have a beer, discuss what happened, shake hands, and move on.

Meet-up?  Have a beer?  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?  Then I won't be able to lurk behind my keyboard and sling pathetic innuendos.  Jesus H. Christ, man, where's the fun in that?

I didn't talk to Slag about the Another one bites the dust post, but I can only figure it to be about Carlo deleting his account....

My post wasnt to slam Scott, I like the guy....  I do think as much as he has wrecked in the past he might have entered a corner with his bike not in complete control, but he is still a good rider.  I am more so referring to the attitude about the situation.  I really don't have a side on this one, but if Carlo was honestly asked, "didn't you see me" or weren't you listening for other riders, then that's just a problem...  Not trying to stir up shit, just annoyed by some of the recent things I have read....

The entire issue here is that people are trying to say that the person in front has the responsibility to listen for passing riders.  Unbelievable.    The circling of the wagons here is unbelievable.   Buzzards neck is a nasty corner to pass in at that.  Obviously it was an accident.  No one would intentionally stuff another rider like that. It was a bad decision.  But to say that it was CM's fault?  Holy shit guys!!  That is damn scary, and a dangerous attitude to have.

Cher

Not sure anyone ever said it was Carlo's fault.  In fact, everyone that has any connection with this has said there was plenty of blame to go around that day.  I also distinctly remember that apologies were made, in person, at the track on the day of the event.

P.S.   "Boobies"   Now THAT was a good one.  Seriously  ;D
