Hey, even Rossi got his start racing pocketbikes.

I didn't know that about Rossi until I got on the Blata website this weekend. But also so did Mlandri and some others.

Let me tell you, I found the bike that runs like a spotted-assed cat but the damn thing is so tiny my fat arse just isn't going to fit. The Blata 2.5 I found in Lewisville is very fast but (even for $200) is totally unusable for a larger person outside of 6 years old. The other bike I tried out was a China bike and it's still knees in the chest small. So, I'm thinking of getting an older scooter and stripping it down putting the big bore kit in it and saying good let's go have fun. The china bikes break a lot from what I gather too. The Euros are much better built. This tiny Blata was as solid as a Duc frame and the motor cranked. Now if it would only be twice the size they'd have something.

I'm telling you, you need to check out the KX65. My buddy rode it for a while and he's not a huge fat guy, but he's not as small as I am. After riding the YSR for a while when I was a few pounds heavier than I am now, it was a pregnant dog. The KX65 was like a couch in comparison. It is minimotard and all, but it is a blast. I'd recommend tryin one out before you buy. At least go to the Kawi dealer and sit on one first. Granted, you'll spend a little bit of money in tires/rims/suspension but you can get a used KX65 for like $900.
