since three months ago, bike has been having hard time to start and
when start( pressing down the starter button) it takes a lot of kicks to
start the bike. and when raining (when engine gets water on) bike will not be stable
ODM goes up and down really unstable. and often times it stalls and then
will have hell of a hardship to start.

Can someone help me here, I am in desperate situation.
thanks for any reply

New spark plugs may help, but you may have a coil or ignition wire problem.  One shade tree method to diagnose the coil/wires for leakage is look for jumping spark while cranking the bike over in the dark.  Misting with water will help.

thanks for your reply, because of this problem
i've always, since then, have to turn the choke up so the engine stays at
1.5k in ODM reading, otherwise it'd just stall all the time on the street.
i will try what you suggest. and go from there, thanks,

Does your 620 have fuel injection?  The existance of a "choke" makes me wonder.  OTOH, if it's actually a "fast idle switch" on a fuel injected bike I have a hunch.

Here's a WAG: Are you following the starting procedure TO THE LETTER.  I have no experience with fuel injected ducatis, but I know that many FI bikes have a specific procedure that needs to be followed so that the ECU functions properly, most notably NOT moving the throttle while the ECU initializes.  (Generally while the gauges do their "sweep," or while the idiot lights cycle)  This is critical for setting the "zero" for the throttle position sensor which, in turn, determines mixture ratios throughout the range.

Another idea: How does one "reset" an ECU on a Duc?  Most bikes, you disconnect the battery for a certain length of time, then hook it back up and it resets itself to factory default settings.  Sorry, I'm just guessing here based on experience with other FI bikes.  I've never read of any procedures for Ducatis.
Once again, this experience is based on OTHER bikes, I don't know if there is this kind of info for FI Ducatis.  If so, I SHOULD be in the owner's manual.

If that fails, I can only suggest taking it to a good dealer for diagnostics.

Just found this in another thread:

your sweet girlfried is angry of you coze you left her ON :)))
Monsters has a different energy saving method as described in repair manual as follows ;

This model is fitted with an energysaving control unit that avoids current absorption if the key stays on ON, the
control units is disabled if the starter button is not pressed after 15 seconds from key-on, take the key to OFF and back to ON to restart. It is recommended not to leave the key to ON when engine is off.

Apply the monster start up procedure, fully OFF the cold start. turnd the key ON and wait till gauges sweep, then put the cold start fully ON and press the start button while kill switch is ON position.
supposing you tried this and it was a failure to start, i recommend you to check spark plugs, if she is firing. If so, try to hear if fuel pump and relay working.

Once again, I can only assume that three things are critical: Don't touch anything while guages "sweep," fast idle switch on, don't move throttle until engine fires.

Also, make sure YOUR battery is up to snuff.

+1 on the ignition problem. If symptoms appear during wet conditions the ignition is usually the culprit. But is your bike otherwise maintained? Are the valves in need of adjustment? Are you using fuel that has water in it?

Your ECU does not reset the throttle position sensor at startup. You must have it reset by a dealer using a Ducati DDS device.

again thanks for all replies,
YA the bike is FI, and i think the maintainence is due soon,
it has its 7.5k service done,
now it's pushing 12k.
i think i will just first replace the spark plug and then have it
service when due.,
thanks,
