Looking good! I should have mine in this week  ;D

The trees sit about 15mm lower on the the forks than the stock set up did.  I did not actually intend for it to sit this low, but the lower triple is as high as can be on the 999 forks without having the upper edge clamped on to air (from where the forks taper back down to 50mm on the way to the top).  It isn't scary nervous at all, just "quick".   :D  I do have a top mount Ohlins damper kit for the bike, but the mount was originally designed to clamp onto the 50mm stock fork tube.  I plan on getting a friend of machinist friend of mine to see if he can rustle me up a new mounting clamp for it.

I can see what you mean now from one of the pics.  I'd check into the possibility of having your machinist friend make a shim, maybe.

I'd just be careful, in my world, the difference between "just quick" and "tank slapper" is about the size of a small rock in the road.   [laugh]

I'm curious, tho, how do you like the new 4-pads?

Sorry I didn't reply to this sooner James, but I was waiting for the pads in the calipers to bed in with the rotors.  Now, with about 200 miles on it since the install, I can say HOLY SHIT!  These things have so much more STOP in them than the stock calipers!!  If you go this route, make sure your face shield is down before you grab a hand-full of front brake.  If not you will have one hell of a time finding your eyes after they get popped out of their sockets.

Try raising the front a little. I did that on our SC and it felt more stable. I did not measure it before and after, but I think it lost a little bit of trail when it was lower in the front.

Back to the thread at hand :).  Every time I see one of thes bikes with some goodies on it, I get more and more inclined to go into serious debt to obtain one.

Ironically enough, this particular shade of yellow is more orangish than many, almost like a mango hue.

Here is a pic of it out in natural light.

It does look nice, doesn't it.  I would almost be tempted to pick one up, but I just love the way the 2-into-1 Termi sounds too much.
