Please explain.  I assume you have a neck, so what am I not understanding?

Mirrors do suck... i thought we all had necks though.  i scrapped my mirrors and never replaced them.  i turn my head and look behind before entering corners which i think will help come track time, it also helps to maintain a speed where things only come at you from the front. ;D  even when i had mirrors i always turned back to check, i dont trust a mirror as far as i can throw it.  lately i dont think i would see anyone in those mirrors anyway besides the other riders im with and you'd better turn and check what your fellow luniz are up to as they can go from one mirror to the next to none before you can make out a IZ_ image in a 3" piece of shaking glass.

Driving on the SoCal freeways I would never be without my CRG lanesplitters.  The time it takes you to turn your head can be the difference between living and dying.  When something happens in front of me (like a mattress falling off a car) I want to know my options before I turn my head.

As for the track, if you start looking behind you while approaching a turn, you will end up in the infield.

those bugeyes are... interesting, to say the least.

what about a rearview camera?

Lanesplitters!

The best solution.  And drop the bike over and watch em survive.  ASs me how I know.

Turning to look before turning or changing lanes is wise indeed. I want mirrors that allow me to see if I have someone behind me. Is he tailgating? Should I move over? etc. I hate not knowing what's going on behind me but I don't want to be looking over my shoulder all the time. My OEM mirrors only show my arms so they stuck. I'm getting CRG LSs as soon as I can get to the shop. But this helmet would be great. Too bad I dropped $800 OTD on a Corsair V a few weeks ago.

so do y'all sit at traffic lights looking behind you the whole time? doesn't that strain your neck?

i rode without mirrors last week because i took them off doing the grips and the bike looked so much better

but your right it was annoying not being able to see what was behind me

i put the right side back on and rock 1 hindsight for now. upgrade to LS when $$$s permit :D

Check out the Ducati Carbon Trader bar end mirrors.  They are phenomenal, that look great, they are unobtrusive and relatively inexpensive.  If you use PayPal you can have them within ONE week from England.  The dollar is equal to 0.62 British Pounds as of today!

I'm looking to get these mirrors, but need to know the stem size I should get.  What's the inside diameter of the stock 696 bars?
