I know, and it was only a track day!

The last few seconds was scary shit. One of moves that freaks me the most when riding in a pack.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

True.

I know i've made some questionable passes at track days but never anything like that.

I know trackdays are not races, but everyone knows as well as I do that when you get out there you want to get around people.

But that last part of the video gives me chills.  I'd love to know why that other rider ended up cutting in front like that.

Too hot is my guess, and maybe some target fixation as well.

But still.

Damn.

Hi-ho-hi-ho....its off to the track I go.................

WTF is going on out there that one rider captures that much video of crashing/near crashing?!?  If I witnessed half of that carnage, I'd immediately pull in and call it a day (after asking the folks running the trackday WTF is going on out there).

The first crash looked like some guys trying to be heros on cold tires.  The second almost crash looked like some guy trying to be a hero for the camera behind him.  The third almost-crash right at the end was just FUBAR!

Wow! That was unbelievably scary!! I think I could make out the vehicle ID number as the bike flew past. :P It was that close! How in God's green earth did they not collide and go down? Nothing but bike carnage in that video. [bang]

Note to self:

Never go to a track day with those nuts  :o

I'd bet the last near-miss had to have been, not noticing there was a turn. He was going dead straight at that little outlet by the building and wide open throttle it looked.

That's the kind of thing that makes me want to carry a side arm  [laugh]

Never know, maybe his throttle stuck open. . .
