Sorry for the ridiculously long URL, but I couldn't find how to name a hyperlink.  If it doesn't show - I think I spotted a relatively new auction for the famous Bobber.

I liked the embedded video in the auction from La Ducati Days with Stu and BP... not one mention of the celebrities in the auction either, go figure.

Why is the 900 only putting out 60hp?

I was under the impression that the pre-FI 900's only put out around 60hp. I went to snoop around... but I'm really tired.

AFAIK, it's a W-head 900, lots of low-end grunt, not so much on top.

I've ridden the bike, it's got plenty of power.

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay. That bike needs a certain buyer. Maybe that buyer just isn't looking in the right places yet.

BTW, why is he selling?

my 94 m900 put out 64 hp on a dynojet, and it was running so rich from the 175 main jet from they stage 2 jet kit that it was cutting out at 7500.  so i think its prolly got more than 60 hp.

When I spoke with Stu at BP's wedding, he explained that this particular 900 had been detuned. I seem to recall him mentioning it was only 60 or so hp.
