yes, being Italian...the boot is designed so that ALL safety features disappear when the sole gets a little bare, absolutely....you MUST buy another pair for safety reasons.

I just bought a pair of Vertigo Corsas and they are lite as a feather . Best feeling boots I've got . Love them.

I've got a pair of size 14 B-2s that are in excellent shape . They feel like slippers on your feet.

Since I currently have 10 pair of Boots , I'm going to offer for sale the B-2s for $90 plus shipping .

I keep trying to like Sidis, but the damned things just don't fit me. They are way too narrow, especially in the toe box. The oddest part is they're practically the only thing I've ever put on my feet that are too narrow for me.

Have you tried wearing just a liner sock ?

They are very thin.
Also very inexpensive. Like $3 a pair at sierratradingpost.com

I don't think a sock would provide much protection.

Oh. You mean in the boot? No, but my normal dress socks are very thin.

I expect my gear to adapt to me, not for me to have to adapt to my gear. Every other boot brand I've tried fits me better, so I wear other brands.

i have a wide toe box so that's why i went with the way mega (aka wider) rain.  these are waterproof tourning boots that look fine with jeans.  not the racer plastic bling and colours.  for my riding and the climate here, my feet don't get hot.
