So much for finding a marketable Italian or Spaniard to bring in the Euros...If they do find a candidate for the #2 seat, Hayden will be the third rider in as many years to walk around the MotoGP paddock with a Bolognese stiletto stuck firmly between his shoulder blades.

This just in: Nicky came in 2nd in FP1, .155 behind Pedrosa, with Rossi 3rd at .307.

This may be an interesting weekend.

Melandri has already signed with Gresini. Deja vu all over again. Who knows, maybe Nicky will resurface in WSBK? Twenty bucks says that's where Toseland lands. Hasn't exactly hurt Biaggi, might be good for Nicky and Toseland. The silly season just keeps getting sillier.

Has Gresini got a seat available for Hayden? There are too many riders who want to come up from the 250cc class to wait out their year on a satellite team for that to happen, I suppose. Nicky may have to go back to AMA Superbike then.....what a fall from grace that would be!!!!
No takers against WSBK placement next year for Toseland, he could rule there once again - just his style....

Gresini has Melandri and Simoncheli  the second  hired by HRC and he will ride a Full Factory Ride... and no empty spots for Nicky Hayden...

I think Yamaha reserves a spot on the tech 3 team for Ben Spies... If he win the Championship this year Yamaha will ask him if he wants to move to motoGp... and Crutchlow fill up hs SBK seat...

And no one mentions a thing about Colin Edwards' advancing season? Past few races he's looked good.

Colin always been there he is a top 5 guy and usally never ends up above 10th ..either with Yamahas or Hondas in the past..

Guess Hayden and Ducati kissed and made up! That third place finish at Indy damn sure didn't hurt Nicky's chances at re-signing!

Looks like Yamaha knows how to get good contracts they have the best GP, WSBK, WSS, AMA SX Riders signed and looks like now that Mladin Retires Hayes would be a force in American Superbike...

Grew up with Charles and his younger brother Mark has been my best friend for over 45 years. Charles is a really good rider also and has an incredible collection of motorcycles and vintage race cars. He bought a 999R just so he could make sure he got on the Desmosedici customer list! This is really neat for him and the memory of Rett. He was just an incredible kid. Died way too young.
