After the group ride today I just kept going north, pretty much going where my mood took me. I eventually ended up in Santa Rosa, thinking it might be fun to go to Taylor's Refresher in St. Helena. I ended up on the Calistoga road, and then took a right onto this lovely little road, the St. Helena/Spring Mountain road.  Where every other road in Napa is clogged with tourists (and Taylors had a line of like 50 people, no lie), this road was blissfully empty.

sig. moore ... were you riding your r6 in this video?  sure sounds like a piano, and not a duc.  [roll]

well, at least the road looks like a cool ride.  [thumbsup]

With the little video cam mounted on the frame slider, all you can hear is the wind. So I though the piano sounded nicer.

I just rode Spring Mtn last weekend on the way out to Berryessa.  Good stuff!

Beautiful and relaxing. Great photography...again:)

Yeah, you Sonoma/Napa guys have a pretty good thing going road-wise, although you wisely don't advertise it much.

There's also that set of killer switchbacks north of Bodega Bay, which I'd forgotten about until I did the Ft. Bragg ride.

Beautiful little piece for the piano...and that ride ain't too bad either.  We're going to have to join you on one of your Northern excursions one of these Fall days.  The weather is just too nice not to go out and play a little before the rains come.  Evan and I really enjoyed taking Anne out and finishing up the ride with her, but it's great that you got to make lemonade out of a ride that initially started off with some pretty sour lemons.

Yeah, we definitely need to do a late Oct/early Nov. ride when the grape leaves are changing color. The best.

Where do I sign up?  Ev and I have plans on Nov. 7/8, but Halloween weekend might be nice.

And what's the name of that piano piece?  That's a nice one.

The piece is called "Passagio" by Ludovico Einauldi

I came across his music watching this pretty cool vid:

There's also that set of killer switchbacks north of Bodega Bay, which I'd forgotten about until I did the Ft. Bragg ride.  Nah, you're wrong. There is nothing up there worth riding, absolutely nothing. These are not the roads you're looking for...   ;D

I'm not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example!

I'm familiar with that piece, though I seem to recall it being a bit higher in pitch.
