First $1000.00 takes it

I just threw some Michelin Pilot Power 2ct's on the Triumph Daytona 600.  Got it back from Eurosport a couple days ago.  It runs well.  I rode it from Eurosport to my house....  I'll sell it to you with the tires, extra motor/tranny/wire harness, Uninstalled K&N oil filter and a gallon of Repsol Full synthetic 10w50 race oil and a gallon of coolant for $1000.00  It will make a great track bike.   I have more than that in it...  Lemme know.   Clean title too....

Didn't you just get that bike recently as a project? Obvious change in plans. Do you have your eye on something else?

I've been riding ecr, tws and msr lately and I've come to the realization that trying to learn how to ride 2 totally different bikes on 3 totally different tracks wouldntbe wise.  I'm getting a lot better on my supersport, I think adding another bike would slow my progress.  Plus everytime I go to the track it's about $250+, doing that 2-3 times per month leaves little money to fix up the Triumph....

I can certainly understand the $$$ part of that. Projects are hard on the wallet these days no matter what our good intentions are. Hopefully someone soon will pick up the torch and run with it. Looks like a fun fixer upper for cheap! [moto]

Dude, in your opinion, how much $$$ would I have to invest to get to a "street riding-level"? ... to fix it up... I almost got an S4R for $1600.00 to fix up, but everything was broken and needed to be replaced   - so I just let it go... I do want a faster bike, but the $$$ is short:-)

The Triumph is in working order, I would just replace all the fluids (oil, coolant, brake)and plugs before tracking it.  It is set up like a streetfighter right now.  Tires are excellent track/Street tires with 90% center tread and 70% side tread left.  I would do new internals on the front and replace the rear spring, if not the rear shock all together.  I would probably upgrade the front pads too....  But this bike could be track ready (beginner) after a good tune up....

goddamn! I dont go to the track!  (if you haven't figure it out already)  I want a faster bike for the streets... $1000.00 sounds good, but to take it to the streets [moto]? I tend to trust people in (certain groups) for a repair-replace values. So if you can tell me the amount, I would appreciate it greatly

T, you always mention the tranny separately from the engine on this bike. Are they not all together in the engine case?  It would be weird for them to be separate units, especially on a sportbike.
