I like riding in smaller groups anyway. esp when you know everyone...

but that's just me.

where'd you go for the pancakes? breakers?

MadDuck

Yep. Not half bad either. Not Brents, but I'm spoiled. Breakers coffee comes in a distant last place compared to McDonalds, Brents and Starbucks.  [laugh].

Traffic was OK in the first part of the day but seemed to get progressively worse. No surprise there I suppose.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

ka'ala cafe's coffee is no screamer, either. I'll take coffee gallery over them, hell, everyone.

breaker's has some tasty eats, though. lunchtime, too.

Well, yall know what I like.  Food.  Cool weather.  Lite on the squidliness.  So, breakfast anyone?

So guys, whats on for this weekend?  I'm not sure if I will be able to make the Sunday ride because I have duty early in the AM.  Should be finished by 1130 though in case anyone wants to make a later showing...

teddy037.2

beats me. but jebus tristos is making me claim this weekend to be a religious holiday, thus making it impossible to attend any last-minute work activities...

So far it looks like I'm being domestic all weekend.  Shouldn't be too bad though. I think WSBK racing is at Barber, USA on Sunday?? I also need to get back on the pedal bike. Haven't touched it since the epic rain ride last Thurs. Circumstances could change and those plans might be out the door. Will have to wait and see how today and tomorrow go.

I need to do this as well.  Alex took ours out for a short(ish) spin yesterday afternoon/evening.  I had almost forgotten how good it felt.  How far do you think you will go if you take the Peg out?

MadDuck

20 to 35 miles depending on how hard I ride.

That's actually Speed Channel.  My mistake. The race is not at Barbers rather it's at Miller Motorsports in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. I get the two tracks confused because of the name of a famous golfer, Miller Barber. Miller is in Utah (and is the same track where Freddie Spencer runs a bunch of his schools) while Barber is in Georgia and it also has schools and a great museum.  I believe this is the first time World Superbike Racing has come to the US. If you haven't watched this series then try to catch it or at least record it.  Pro Italia reports the first race is showing at 11 am Sunday so that should make it 8am our time. Maybe. Don't hold me to that.

Fat Freddy is running a school in SLC?  I'll be in SLC in about 5 weeks.  I should stop by and say howdy.

That sounds pretty reasonable.  We are trying to decide where we are going to take our bikes out to today.  Would love to go out towards Waialua and then pedal towards Sunset Beach and back, but I know the roads will be crowded...

And isn't Barbers in Alabama, near Birmingham?

MadDuck

Probably. I think you're right. At least I know it's in the South somewhere. Nice track.

Wish I would have gone and checked it out when I was back home in November...
