Been monkeying around with making some panoramas lately.  Thought I'd share a few.  They're not the best, but I'm far from a photoshop guru.  I know the size will be small due to forum constraints, but if there's interest, I'll upload larger versions to photobucket & post the links.

Thanks for looking  [thumbsup]

1.  My first one, it's just a crop of a 6mp image.  I took this right around dusk on the Blue Ridge Parkway:

2.  Taken just east of Highlands, NC on US64

3.  Taken from the Glassmine falls overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway:

4.  Blue Valley area of Georgia, taken between Highlands, NC and Dillard, GA on NC106:

5.  Taken from some fields on a mountain top near my parent's place:

6.  Taken on the approach road for the Waterrock Knob overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway:

Hope you enjoyed!

I'll post links to larger versions if folks are interested ~

Nice! [thumbsup]

Did you take them with overlap between the different individual photos?

My dad uses a program called Panorama Pro. Not sure if it's free but I know he got it for free. *cough* Works pretty well and will help even out the uneven colors between photos.

One word: autostitch.

Keeping to the topic, have a panorama of a storm heading straight for my old house. Ahh, Australian storms.

The first one is just a cropped image, the others were taken with some overlap, some landscape, some portrait orientation.

I was going to say that with enough overlap, you should be able to use software to clean them up so you don't see the edges.  Haven't tried the one suggested by erkishhorde but that sounds promising.

One piece of advice when doing the photostitch thing is to keep the camera settings the same between the pictures - ISO, Aperture and shutter speed. It will help with the photos being more consistent. In Photos 2,3 & 4 you can see where some frames were different than others. If you use a camera with manual settings it's easy. If you use a Point & shoot then it is harder, but some will have a "lock" mode specifically for this purpose.

I use autostitch. It's the bomb.

Ah, the SuperPit. I've seen a few open pits in my time though, working as a geo :D

Sunrise Dam near Laverton (WA) is pretty cool, too.
