more like look out FJR.  not sure who this lines up against in Ducati-land, but if we are talking "sport-tourer" I doubt it will touch the K1300 line...  unless we are talking price.

They are getting closer on styling but there are still very funky elements, like the exhaust and the front-on look.  I'd tour on a CBR first...

I saw this same article more or less over on autoblog ("auto"blog... yeah they cover bikes every now and then - go figure  [laugh] ), but I do like the new VFR.  There are several nice styling elements to it - I particularly like the look of the muffler/semi-swingarm.  Inventive and distinctive.  Pretty well kicks the whole UJM styling thing right in the head.  'Bout time I say.

That being said, though, I'm still waiting for Brian to sell me his RC51.

[evil]  [laugh]

Now THAT is the way to build a motorcycle, although touring two-up is 'prolly... how should I say... problematic!

Its ugly imo.

I agree. Wasn't going to say this since I am fresh off bashing the Duc Streetfighter. But still... give me an '07 VFR in the red, white and blue knock off of the 1986 VFR and I am there. Speaking of that, Al Lamb's Powersport Honda has that bike left over for super cheap!! Maybe I should sell a bike and get one. Just wished Honda hadn't f#@ked them up with the stupid (make that really stupid!!) variable valve crap! Yet another dumbass answer to a question no one asked!! What is wrong with bike engineers? Just leave shit alone and give us a motorcycle that we would actually buy!!! [bang] How hard is that?

it doesn't have the comfort creatures the K1300 has but I'm sure it will run like hell.  I like this rendition better than the FJR (tired and old IMO) and the ST which is good for one-up touring.  In fact, only BMW has capable two-up tourers in my book.  For me the wife has her own bike so this would be my toy.........no damn passenger EVA

Ugly you guys say?  look again, they copied the BMW

Yeah I really like the styling of the older VFR's, not this new one.  I always thought they were very stylish looking for a sport touring bike.  Take away VTEC and they had themselves a hot item.  Something about the new look doesn't sit with me, but /shrug.

I'll bet it will be nice in person.  we shall see but before that I need some rental space in Fastwins garage  [laugh]

if the market wasn't so shitty I'd be looking for 10 acres and/or a 4 car garage and as long as it has a pool the wife would be happy.  ;)

Why?

They need to get their ass in gear and quit making bikes that can be mistaken for MV's....  And that 600 pound Honda, well....is 600 freaking pounds....

hideous exhaust. otherwise, not bad for a tourer. not my favorite, but its a honda which is one of the jap products i've owned before and was a 'content' owner.

get a unicycle, then you'll be pleased with the weight.   :o  sport touring isn't 400 lbs nor is it a track bike.

But you were comparing it to a Duc, and Ducati doesn't make a 2010 600lb bike....
