Can someone explain the "DERBY" thing to me??

derby -- A DMF member know for informing people when they r-e-p-o-s-t.  The board software auto-filter replaces the world "r-e-p-o-s-t" with "derby."  The real derby can be found here.
SOLD 03 - Ducati Monster Dark M620

05 - Ducati Monster Blue/white S4R

That's very funny LOL
This place feels nice. Black S4RS, CRG Barend mirrors, vented clutch cover, gold clutch plate, gold pazzo racing levers, full 50m termi system, little carbon extras....oh yeah ...almost forgot....ban corporate coffee!

I saw the OCC Ducati 1100 mod at the 10th anniversary party; it was unique of course, but not as clean and tasteful as the room full of stock Dukes right next to it.
Some of the Carbon work was cool, but overall the execution was like a girl wearing too much eye makeup.  :o

That's just what I was thinking.  :P
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

ManOrAstro-Man?

I thought those guys only did choppers. I've never seen the show, so I'm not sure. But they should leave Ducatis alone after seeing how they desecrated that poor Monster.

OCC got a Ducati dealership a few months back and the bikes are now displayed on one side of the OCC chopper "museum."

I saw the webbed monster in person and that tail section is fugly. They did some nice machine work making up some billet bits for the bike but it was mostly a DP catalog bike with their grotesque bodywork grafted on.

As an aside, just after they aquired a Ducati dealership they held a group ride that I decided to join in on. It ended at the giant showroom hey have in New York and when I was walking into the showroom with a  helmet and bug crusted leather jacket the tourists outside were looking at me like I was from another planet. I would venture that 75% of the people that go there have never thrown a leg over a bike of any kind, much less have spent the past 20 years riding like me and some of my buds have.

just another example of a sell out to big business when they open a showroom for a brand with such a devoted following in a place where form and fashion are more important then function.
