During his time in hiding, Falcon said he played with his toys and took a nap. He said he finally got up because he was bored.

That show aired a year ago. Does a 6 y/o know how to set up that spectacular of a hoax? Meh. I'm still not buying into it but if it IS proven, I'll admit I was had. And you were right.

I say publicity stunt.

I dont think that thing would have lifted off with the weight of that kid in it...and the dad knew it. He called FAA then he called the news....toss in all the shows they are doing interviews for..... instant promo for the weather show.

If it is a hoax the parents need to be charged with misuse of emergency services, misuse of 911, resist, obstruct,delay law enforcement, and have D.S.S. investigate weather they should have custody. I also believe the parents should have to pay back all emergency services for their time and wear and tear of equipment.

A hoax is treated as a "False Report to Authorities" and is a class 3 misdemeanor.

The Sheriff advised if it turns out to be a hoax, they would seek restitution for the services used in the search.

if it is I hope they are chargesd and convicted. Just think of all the people who were not offered emergency service during the time everyone was chasing and attempting to rescue this child. Just plain selfish and stupid. (if its a hoax)
