well people the roads between silverton and ouray are still a mess no work has been done to speak of yet. which is a shame because the road between durango to silverton has a bunch of new road which is nice.  but other then one small section that road was fine! (around here they will do any thing for those bicycle riders) were red mtn pass will put you on your a** right quick if your not careful.   But hwy 145 telluride/Deloris is really nice and fun to ride.   maybe a couple of choppy spots nothing bad   I'll keep you all posted   [thumbsup]

Did you do Ridgeway/Telluride this weekend?  I did a little work to the bikes, but didn't even start them this weekend. :(

Ridgeway is the little town north of Ouray where you turn West to go towards Telluride.  Lizardhead is the pass between Telluride and Dolores.

No worries, I wouldn't have been able to go anyway. [thumbsup]

Yeah, 550 is effing sweet!  the opposite side of the skyway is a bit rough though.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.  - HST

There was some massive flooding in Ouray this weekend (yeah, try going through THAT on a 1098).  But as marrs said, the upper parts of Red Mountain pass were brandy new tarmac!  Only one section about 1 mile long is uneven with the new stuff, so if you blow a corner, you will know it quickly when you drop 5 inches!

Cant wait!
If you love your bike, set it free.
If it comes back to you, you've
probably high-sided.

I think I just heard,  ;D :D :P [thumbsup].  As far as that pass in a downpour on a 1098 goes, I thought in the past four months & 9000mls I had seen it all. but, 14mls of rain like a shower head, I soaked my clutch plates to the point of it not working...at all.  AAAHHHR,   The Black Pass.       (That was a pirate)
I promise to make better mistakes tomorrow.
