I do want to shout out a great big ol thank you to Bryant and Jacob for helping me load the Ducs yesterday afternoon.  I was in a great deal of hurt and they came to my rescue.  [thumbsup] The way I see it is that I owe you guys a night at the Monk, or Idle Rich, or Black Friar or wherever! Thanks guys!  [thumbsup] [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

Bah, Bryant did all the work!

I just want to say it was great fun hanging out with ya'll. What a great group of peeps!

I think I could do a track day every week and not get tired of it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels like they got hit by a bus.

Had a blast hanging out and seeing everybody have fun and learn stuff.  Very cool seeing Jester get bumped up to the advanced group and hang with them.  That's a huge change going from the Monster to the 848 and already be that comfortable on it.

Too bad it's at the end of track day season.  After I recover, I'll be ready to do some more.

Just curious if anyone made it out to Urbino's on Saturday night to hang with Pegram and the AMS gang. Couldn't make it, we had kid trick or treat stuff in Rockwall to deal with. I would imagine that anyone planning on hitting the AMS track day on Sunday would want to be in bed at a decent hour on Saturday night. I'm guessing a lot of track day folks didn't go. Would much rather have been at Urbino's than with the trick or treat crowd! [bang] Wanted to go by AMS on Saturday and meet Larry and snag an autograph for my Ducati book but couldn't make that work either.

Glad the track day attendees had a good time. [thumbsup]

I went...

I arrived at Urbino's at 7:00 PM on the Monster and found Jeff, Mark Nash, Larry, Keith Smith, who is the US Importer for GG Quad, and his friend, Wendy, just hanging out at one of the outside benches. Jeff motioned me over and Larry and Mark made room for me. Talk ranged from one subject to another, bikes, business travel, the economics of running a racing team, Haga's disappointing 2nd place WSBK season, persons of mutual acquaintance, concealed carry and favorite carry pieces, Ducati's onetime plan to market a cruiser, and the administration of the Dallas D.A.'s office under Craig Watkins (Wendy's boss); all seasoned with the occasional ribald tale and crude joke.

Cory and Jordan showed up with Cory's parent's. Nice folks. A guy named Romeo, and couple other people I didn't get to meet.
Muskrat and Mrs. E rolled in on the Largest Harley I Have Ever Seen :o They and I were the only ones riding, I think everyone else caged it. You're right, the DFWMers I saw Sunday at the track were notably absent. Poopers! :P

The weather was perfect, young women in scanty halloween cotumes were occasionally visible going into the clubs at either side of Urbino's, conversation and company were very convivial. Pizza was OK.

Sorry, Fastwin, you missed a truly nice evening.

Does anyone have Romeo's contact info?  He told me he would email me a pic of me and Pegram.... But I forgot to get it from him.
Holy cow! Did everyone see the exhaust on his streetfighter?  The first time I looked at a streetfighter in envy.....saweet!

Red, my 2 autographed pics are in the RBR RV...  Please take care of them for me.

Jan, (Jduc) from dfwducati.com posted these photos that her husband Monte took of her on her 749R and Joel on his 749S.  I'm in a lot of Jan's photos, and some others may be in there too, it's hard to tell on my phone.

On a side note, I know my 900 can get around the track alot faster than I'm making, but I am riding it pretty damn hard...   But there was a stock 696 that I just couldn't pass, if anyone knows him, tell him/her, damn, good job.

Wow, sounds like a great time. Did you catch Wendy's last name? My wife and I might know her. We worked at the Crowley courthouse for years. I personally know Watkins from when he was a PD, then private defense attorney and when he ran a bail bond company. My wife was a felony probation officer for 15 years and I was a State Distict court coordinator which means I ran the courts for State District criminal court judges. It's not like TV! [bang] My nickname for Crowley was the "House of Pain". :P

Sorry I missed the Urbino throw down, would have liked to met Pegram.

I was wondering where he got that exhaust! That was very cool.
As far as the LP autographed posters in the RBR RV they are still there and in fine shape. I can barely move into the Jeep to get to work much less go out and get into the RV  at this time but you're more than welcome to come by and grab them at your leisure.
One more congrats to Dan THE MAN who rode the piss out of that Tard Sunday! I'll be posting some video that I got of the day later today when I get home. You'll know it's Dan because he's the one who is head and shoulders taller than anyone on the track! Good job!

Are there any links to any other picture galleries out there?  I called Hart photography and they actually were not in attendance, so unless someone else was out there, we didn't get any professional photos.  I'm really sad about that.

Milli took some while we were there, so I can post them up this evening.

Yeah, that sucks... but I was talking to a guy from Louisiana on his 1098 and his son took a bunch of shots from the cornerwork shelter.  He's going to try and get in touch w/ Jeff and/or Toni to get them the shots.

I didn't take the time to adjust the color on these yet, but I will do so shortly. We definitely didn't bring an appropriate lens.

Coming out of Wagon Wheel, someone had a camera pointed at the track everytime I glanced at the flag potition.
I assumed it was someone from Hart Photog.

Hart definately wasn't there.  I called their offices and they said that they didn't realise it was a full trackday and covered a ridesmart in Houston instead.  They apologized, but I do hope somebody else got good shots.  Maybe another company was there?
