Question for all you knowledgeable people...how much of a difference is there between an '08 848 and a '09/'10 848 because according to the Ducati website there is no difference...
Appreciate the info!

*P.S.  this is what I'm basing this question off...

Well, the '08 will have most likely have more miles on it.  ;)

Seriously though, AFAIK the only real difference is that all the '08s and the early '09s will have Marchisini wheels and the '10s will have Enkei.

Thas right. From Jan '09 the production bikes have Enkei'sl.  The "10's" should also have the lightweight cam sprockets (titanium?) but that won't really translate to any performance advantage.  Maybe you also get the extra extensions for the mirrors but that's no big deal either.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Brutale

Very sexy bike....love that matte finish.  I have always lusted after a "dark" bike since the MV Agusta SPS

But I couldnt afford it and had to "settle" for the matte finish brutale...

Maybe its time for another dark bike.... ???

If I were you Laughn, I would do up your SC in a dark scheme.  That way you would have something very unique and wouldn't have to go through the ass pain of buying a bike on the mainland and shipping it down here.

Matte black, shiny black. I like the shiny because is waxes up so nice.

But, what I want to know is why forgo a Dark Brutale for an SC?  Not that the SC isn't a good bike, mind you.

Cause he was sceared.   ;D

But on a more serious note, would you want an MV down here?

Honestly, the Brutale was the sweetest handling bike I have ever owned...and the sound, dear God the sound!  That being said, I moved to RURAL new Mexico and had to take the Brutale in twice for some warranty work (after 11000 miles!).  Six hours each way was a serious pain in the ass.  Then I got my orders for Hawaii, where there is no one to do any work on an MV.  Thus, I switched back to Ducati.  Still miss the Brutale though!

I do like the idea of going with an old school matte black finish on the SC.  Perhaps with some red/white pinstriping like a '50's hot rod??  SInce I have to replace the spreading tank anyway......

I would go for it.  That would look sick as hell!
