FroggToggs?

Any opinions?

i saw one poster blew out the crotch swinging a leg over.

Looking for extra layer (packable) for cold as well as wet

Look like the cat's meeow.

My Tour Master mesh stuff has waterproof liners but in summer a bit of a hassle to zip in.
Pants a bit bulky with liner in - not really needed for warmth / commute
Oversuit sounds peachy for summer, the coat would be a extra layer on cold weather, price is right.

Any FHE?

I had the super cheap suit they make (dri ducks by frogg toggs or some such waste of money). I have since bought a $60 suit and it holds up much better.

I've seen a lot of people on advrider.com praise the FroggToggs, but I've never seen a pair.  They make a few different riding-specific suits.

I have had a set for a couple years that I picked up at my local Gander Mtn.

I chose going with a lighter color (tan) over a moto specific suit (dark colors and reflectivity).

I tried them on with the my gear on that I would be wearing under them.

After two years (10,000mi) of use they are holding up well.  The cuffs on the jacket are starting to get a little IZ_ from the velcro on my gloves.

They have kept me dry in some torrential downpours. Of course, YMMV.

Went down to my local cyclegearers.  Picked up a set.  They dont look good but they do the job perfectly.  I have had no such blowing of the crotch though  [laugh]

For 60 bucks you cant beat em.

Haven't tried the moto-specific ones, but if you go with some of the more general-purpose Frogg Toggs, be sure to buy the pants long. I used the ones I've got for backpacking in a pinch, and the pants run right around the middle of my shins in riding position.

I've used mine in some nasty weather and they're good kit.  I have the $60 version from Bass Pro Shop.

Another bonus is that they roll up with a small footprint which makes them easy to pack.

My set arrived yesterday, moto specific, reflective piping.

Looks to be decent quality, especially for $60 shipped.
I'm 5"11 ~170lbs and ordered large.
Sized to fit over my Tourmaster Gear, top & bottom.
Pants are extra long and seem suitable for riding position.
For reference I have Tourmaster Flex pants, Tall and they are BARELY long enough,
These large FroggToggs are pretty equal in length.

Don't pack down SUPER small (they ain't hiding under stock seat) but do have a stuff sack.

Will be nice extra layer for cold commutes (lots of those lately) and nice to have a waterproof barrier to throw OVER my gear.
The TM has waterproof liners which are great but not convenient in/out.

Rode in with the coat this am but it was a downright balmy 43F.

Big fan!  Good cheap rain gear.  I find the fit is a bit small so you may want to go up a size.

I had really good luck with mine.  I have a "nicer" Teknic suit now, but I kind of wish I went back with the frogg Toggs.  The FTogg's are lighter, much more packable, and seemed to give just as good of wind and water protection.

"Then why did you get a new suit?" you might be asking.

Because my wife accidentally put it in the dryer and it shrunk from an XL to a Cabbage Patch Doll outfit.  So if you do go with the Frogg Togg.  Don't let it find it's way into your dryer.

OK no dryer!

I haven't done any extended wet slogs in the 'Toggs but I been wearing to work on these last few precious
commutes.

Have done a some AM rides @ 16F and keeping the wind out is great, I've no doubt they'd be fine in the rain.

I have the moto specific, LARGE,  they are indeed suitably sized to fit over an armoured suit (I have tourmaster mesh /
textiles, XL coat, L-tall britches).
