I have been riding bikes since 78. 1st road bike was a Honda 550 twin. 2nd Yamaha 450. 3rd Suzuki GS 750. 4th Honda Cb 900, I had this for a couple of hours before I realized what a heap of crap it was so I took it back to the dealer and bought my Darma 14 years ago a 900 Darma which I had for 8 years until a brand new 304 Peugeot decided to jump on for a ride. while I was rebuilding my Darma I bought a Kwaka GPZ 1100, I couldn't wait to get my Darma back on the road, after 18 months I sold the GPZ to the same dealer for the same $$$ I bought it for. My Darma was fixed but it was never the same so regretfully sold it and made a vowel that I would not buy another bike until Ducati designed something that I would really like and they did the 1098s. I bought a black one last November 2008 and last week I sold my 1098s because of a neck problem and because the boss (Wife) told me she was worried about me riding with this problem.  :'(
I agreed to sell but on one condition I could get another Ducati with a better riding position, does the 09/10 Monster have a better riding position?, I wouldn't know because I haven't ridden one yet not until next week if my neck is okay and when it gets delivered to my front door.  [moto]
I ordered a 09 1100 Monster before I sold the 1098s. My dealer called today to tell me my bike has arrived but it is a 2010 model, no complaints from me  [clap], I just wonder how different they are to the 09 model?

Welcome Jungle!  Sorry to hear about your 1098S. :(

Well you should find that the Monster has a considerably more upright position. [thumbsup]  However if you are very tall you may end up wanting to mod the rearsets and/or seat and/or bars.

Looking forward to hearing updates and seeing pictures of your M1100 (or any of your other bikes). ;D

Oh, when you get a chance, check in with your local board, OZ Monsters, they're quite a friendly, active bunch.

Have fun! [moto]
