Hey everyone,

I just got my 08 695 about two months ago and love it!  I've been riding since the spring with my 02 Ninja 500R.  Then an old friend moved back in the area, who has two Ducs and convinced me to take a look at the new 696's.  Though those were more than I wanted to spend right now, I knew I had to get a monster!  I was surprised just how easy it is to ride.  I actually think it would have been a lot easier to learn on than the ninja because of the lower seat height, more upright body positioning, smoother shifting, and more responsive brakes.  Anyways, I'm still learning and you'll probably see me throw out newbie questions on the forum.

I also have a black/red 695, although mine is an '07.   I started on a GS500F and find the Duc fits me better and is easier to balance as well.

When you get a chance, make sure you check in with your local group, CAM.

Go drop a line section if the local boards, um, section as somegal noted. There's quite a number if Duc riders all over your/our area. I'm down in Arlington but head up the MD way from time to time.
