Hi all, first things first.  Drinks are on me, and the doughnuts are fresh. 

Based in SE-Qld Down under, I love my cars and bikes. 
I don't own a Monster yet.  But its only a matter of time.  I've always been a naked roadbike fan, and the monster has earned iconic status in that regard.

Currently riding a KTM thumper SM, and loving it.. But looking for something that will be enjoyable to ride on more than just twisty mountain roads.  I don't need epic HP, but would like something relatively light with respectable handling and a great engine note. 

I'll be honest and say either a KTM 950SM or Superduke would be my first choice..  But I simply can't justify the cost.  And when I see modified monsters like Celli's or Juans, I think yep this is a project I could thoroughly enjoy.    I don't have a big budget, and I will be keeping the motard.  So I've joined up to find out as much as I can about the monster family of bikes, in the hope that I can save a few dollars by doing things right the first time.

So anyway, I'm off to keep reading.   I'm sure I will be along with some questions for the guru's.

Good luck with the research, you're definitely in the right place.   Looking forward to reading updates on your bike shopping.
