Brief intro:

have just quit riding dirt bikes after about 8 years ex. Husaberg 400 owner and had to return the loaned BWR R65.  So now in the market for a ducati monster.  Only problem is I don't know much about them!!  They look good, sound good.

So any pointers would be great!  Cool website.

Cheers.

Welcome corncob, you're in the right place to find out more about Monsters. [thumbsup]

They're fun bikes, you might start off by reading up and/or posting more specific questions in the General forum, Tech, or Accessories & Mods.

Make sure you also stop by and introduce yourself in your local board, OZ Monsters.

Good luck, looking forward to updates. :)

Gday Corncob

You'll do well on a Monster as they were partly inspired by flat tracker styling, and with your dirt backround should feel at home on one. They're a funny mixture of flat track, cruiser, sports bike, motard, naked, street fighter. There are a few different types; carbed, injected, air cooled, water cooled, 2 valve, 4 valve.

Test ride whatever you can to see what fits and feels right.

They really are special bikes.

Good luck
