I'm so sorry, that is beyond disgusting. The exact same thing happened to me eons ago, and I remember being completely unnerved by it, too. 

However, you have recourse. It's actually illegal to do that sort of thing (somewhat the same as exposing yourself to little girls in the park), so you can contact your local law enforcement, and they can get your phone company to cough up the info on the perv.

That is, it's illegal in CA, where are you?

I think if you were a great deal more upset with your phone company, you might get some better response from them, as well....
