Looks sweet, never liked the price of Dianese gear though. $460 for a textile? Steep...

I love the look of that jacket [thumbsup] Perfect for city riding a new Monster or StreetFighter - at least as far as style is concerned 8)
It seems above average protective. For me, it should have been waterproof as well.

The US site also shows a new Ducati Corse Textile jacket which looks tailored towards MultiStrada. Very cool [thumbsup]

None of these jackets have appeared on Ducati.com for Europe yet. Perhaps they need to clear out 09 stuff first...

Great looking jacket.  But you do have to pay thru the nose for it...  Might consider it if it's on sale/clearance

At this point i still like it. it fit so well, it was amazing, and its almost an elastic feeling fabric. I was looking at leather, but its hard for me to find a style i like. this fits that perfect. Yes, i said style, im not a track guy, and i yes i like the "brand" but hey, thats IMO

i did find this sale

Call me crazy but $460 doesn't sound like that much to me? Granted I didn't pay that much for mine but that's because i got it for half off, retail for Rev'It Cheyene $500+

The other thing is that it's protective gear man, some things you just don't wanna skimp on! I don't assume anyone here would buy a $40 helmet?! Just sayin!!
I get that your paying for the name but come on it's got aluminum in the shoulders, hell you might survive a trip to Thunder Dome in that thing  [thumbsup]

I agree totally, i mean, if your going to fall a "wreck" an expensive jacket, be it leather or tex, it might as well be safe (like this one! and others) and one you like. wrecking a $460 jacket is just that, wrecking a $460 jacket.

I have the same Dainese jacket without the Ducati badges.
The D-stone fabric is extremely strong and the jacket is very comfortable.
It's one of my favorites jackets and I use it about 75% percent of the time.
I only paid $270 for my mine though.

Higher price does not equal greater protection, even in helmets.

Guess that's why everyone buys Bell bicycle helmets to use when they're riding their motorcycles.... ;)

Anyhow, I know that higher price doesn't always mean more/better protection but, you do get what you pay for. Especially in quality. Don't pay too much attention to the price. Stay within your means, but try to make sure you get the best quality when it come to protection and durability.

**Ok, OK...pay attention to price a little, lord know I'm always on the lookout for a deal  ;D

I want this jacket, but that's expensive as hell...

Also, what's on the back of it?  I wouldn't want a huge Ducati logo across it, but can't find pics...
Speed is always relative.

Slide Panda

Nothing on the back. Just the patch on the front and arm.

M1 - How'd you snag one for $270 - luck? Connections?
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.
