That is ancient history. They are similar to D&D or Two Brothers but I don't think either of them made those. Maybe though, but whatever memory is left says that it was some other off brand. They haven't been made in years so anything like that may be one of those do it yourself projects that takes a while and many different prototype versions. Or you could patiently scour eBay and all the different Ducati forum classifieds.

Exhaust loudness largely depends on how much baffling/packing is built around the inner pipe along with how large a diameter inner pipe & escape hole.  The smaller the escape opening at the end of the muffler the quieter the sound.

As far as the eBay generic cans go the first question that comes to mind is how does the exhaust pipe hook up to the muffler?

Why would you want to buy those?  They are heavier, and crappier than the Remus you have now.  I think you are going to end up having to get a custom set up fabricated to pull off the look you seem to be going for...

Thanks for your opinion.
Thats why I am posting on here...I was thinking if those would bolt up on my M900,
I might cut the cans down to maybe 9" or 10"  ???
And achieve a cleaner rear wheel area.

But to go the custom/fabricated route just doesn't make sense $ wise on a 98' Monster to me.

I think you'd be better off getting used stock low mount Monster cans and shortening them.

+1 on what Mac said if that's the look you're going for...here's a pic of my exhaust cans chopped, cored, and painted...

I shortened them about a foot...

Thanks Xerxes
How much louder are they now?
You said you cored them...is that removing all the internals?
Do you have a pic straight on from the side / profile..so I can see where your pipes end in relation to the wheel.

Thanks

These are the best pix I have right now (bike's at the shop will try to take some when I get it back)

before

after

Bad pic but the cans end at the wheel's mid point or a couple of inches from the rear peg...As far as loudness, it's way louder than stock but not obnoxiously loud and yes I removed one or two of the sections in the cans (you'll see what I mean if you ever do this)

zzilla

just swapped out the plug on the upper exhaust hole for the open pipe. Sounds delicious. Sound is much more intense in the lower frequency range, shakes my chest quite a bit more. Taking her out on Snake this afternoon. Report to follow in this space. ;D
