Hey guys, lady friend picked me up a track stand for xmas  ;D single sided of course. Now, as there's no 'locking' mechanism to keep the bike on the pin, am i asking for trouble by leaving the bike on it for days on end??

nope, nothing to worry about, mine has sat on it day in day out for the last 6 years as did my 748sp before that. the weight of the bike sits on the rear axle so unless some bonehead DELIBERATELY pushes it off it won't go anywhere.

Thanks mate, was just wondering because was so damn easy to put on i figured it would be so damn easy to knock off  :o

Have to say, does make bike maintenance a whole lot easier - should have purchased one years ago [bang]

Betty has one too and no issues leaving the bike up there for maybe months on end

Mine lives on the rear stand, no problem.

MonsterDorf

I have an Anderson Stand with wheels which allows me to move the bike around the garage.......really cool. Never had a problem - stable as.

Cheers

I have both the front and rear stand, best money I have ever spent! makes life easier for cleaning, service, wheel removals, everything.
Anderson stands are the best  [thumbsup]

There's another style on the way.

Dockstrada

Yep,The first working prototype is finished. It can be used on both sides of the bike so you can work on the sprocket side or the wheel side. They will be going into production in 2 weeks.
Anyone that is interested let me know.
