Hey Jbub..

Nice to see you around.

Good luck with your training.   [thumbsup]

Thanks.

We went to the gym today and weighed Mother for the first time in 9 months. He's lost 25 lbs just by changing his diet and getting some good hiking in. Amazing how not eating fast food everyday will help.

i haven't really set a weight goal, but i want to get back to running 4.5mi daily (5 days a week). everything else seemed to fall into place when i was doing that.

BEST way to keep ahead of the curves. and you dont need a gym payment to do it either.
Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

I'm pretty done with the workout blog thread, but if anyone else wants to join me in trying to motivate a bit I'm bringing this couch potato thread back.

Now that my old friend is playing music out regularly, I am, for better (it's fun) or worse (it's making me soft), going through thousands of calories in booze weekly out at his gigs.

8 lbs up (well...5 up... that last three is from Vegas last week and will be gone this week).

Sailing season is starting (damn bathing suit weather) but I just can't be bothered most days to do any workout.

perhaps I'll just do biceps and triceps like mad and get bigger arms to distract from the middle.

hmmmm.  I'll ponder the plan over a  [drink]

gotta look good in that bikini eh?

like i said in the other thread, i want to be fawned over if i take my shirt over. ;D

but really, i just don't want to feel as embarrased about taking off my shirt in public.  :-[

i'll suggest this chris, it'll give me motivation to run, and it will motivate you as well. pluss you can work on the quick twitch muscle as well while i'm huffing and puffing away.
I'll come down and chase you with a stick. if i get close enough you get whacked. if you dont' get whacked i have to keep chasing.

it's not that i want to hurt you, you're a really nice guy, it's that i need soemthing to make me actually want to run. plus it's a more full body workout with the swinging of said stick and all.

I'm in. The pants are definitely fitting tighter these days. The wifey, Bacon Junkie and I have just been pounding the booze back for the past couple of months. Oh and we all love to cook so there is always a bunch of really good food around that we eat way too much of.

The booze is just a killer. Empty calories and it slows your metabolism. I wish I could cut out simple stuff like sodas and fast food, but I never eat that stuff. I eat well I just have to eat less.

I'll weigh in tonight and let you know what I have to lose. If anyone finds wagers motivating I'd be willing to race someone to -10lbs.

My workout program will consist of eating less, drinking less (and not at all during the week) and taking the puppies on longer walks.

Good luck everybody!   [thumbsup]

HATERS GONNA HATE.

when I got down to the 4 pack I was all gung ho and said no drinking for a few months.  That lasted about two days.  hahahaha.

I loooooove good food.

So it's portion control for me.

I still have a bet with a forum member for a nice bottle of tequila for 1st to 6-pack.... but that is now a ways off (although still an active bet...how's it going, Jesus?)

I just weighed in at 168.   155 is goal, but 158 is just fine.  Sac, there's some DMF stickers in it if you beat me. (I suppose betting with booze defeats the purpose).

Thanks for offer of being beaten with stick, Trav, but I'm not quite there yet.  [laugh]

Statler, we have damn near the same starting and goal weights. I'll weigh in today and let you know. I'm up for a race.   [evil]

I weighed myself the other day. Gained 15 pounds since november  ;D

Oddly enough...that was about when I stopped running 3-4 times a week.

Think I might break the bike out after work today....it's time.

I'll be doing alot of this after the first climb  [puke]

Oh, thank God.

Normal people trying to lose weight.

So, yeah, I got back from deployment in December and pretty much stopped running.

Plus, you know, started eating real food and drinking again.

I'm hoping to use this move that I have coming up as a fresh slate.

With that in mind, my goal is to lose the 15 lbs I've found in the last 6 months.

That wager still open, Sac?  ;)

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

KnightofNi

wait...155lbs?

does that include your legs?

christ. i think if i was anywhere near that i would be in the hospital.

i'm aiming for closer to 200 (at 215ish now, was 230+ a couple of months ago)

if i do anything that builds muscle then i'm sure i'll be well over 200 even with minor definition.
i guess i'm jsut a big guy.

I've gone down from a large pizza to medium and from 10 wings to 5 ... is that enough?

Still stuck at a 2 pack and 179. The weight loss stopped when we launched our dessert business. Our BEER dessert business. There might be something to that.  ;)

Oh we're still on, tubbs. By the end of the summer I will be smoking my victory cigar.

Hope that's  euphemism for something piglette.  :)
