'cause it ain't worth it. Idk about the bay side, but the coast is getting hit hard-trees down, power out, real high winds and I'm fairly sure at one point, hail.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I had to ride today. Street cleaning.....yeah, I know.

It was bad yesterday. I made the mistake of leaving the cover on the Yamaha, with the top case on as well. The cover acted like a sail and knocked the bike on its side in my company's San Mateo parking lot. Minimal damage...just a windscreen. But freaky.

I considered it, but my lovely wife gave me a withering, "are you some kind of idiot?" look that prompted me to see if the car is still in running order.

I was talkin' about this to the Blonde as we drove in today.  Too many deep puddles/flooding out there to be traveling at anything close to freeway speed while on two wheels.  You don't have much control when you're hydroplanig.

Tomorrow is gonna be worse as the ground is already saturated.  Be safe, all.   [moto]

Guess I'm in the "retarded" camp.  Very windy, very rainy. Less than ideal riding conditions.   [coffee]

I brought two pairs of gloves and socks so that I have a dry set on the way home.  I'm golden.

Was there flooding on the freeways?

a little bit... a few inches at the toll plaza and of course the Western span of the upper deck had it's usual standing water, as it always does whenever it rains.  The wind blows harder on that side too.  Worst part was just before the island--for some reason there are some really nasty updrafts there.  It's disconcerting on the bike.  It was so powerful that it blew rain up under my visor--which was snapped shut.  WTF?!  I kept my RPM up and my head down--seemed to work OK for getting through it.

Fek, then there's the lightning. Anyone else have their house rocked last night. Dang, the windows shook, trees blew over, I was looking out the window for the Wicked Witch of the West!

Yep I got one like that: it triggered all the cars alarms in the street!

I got more wet walking from BART to the office than if I had just rode.  The umbrella didn't do a lot of good, and of course the sun came out minutes after I got here...

I rode in. Lots of deep puddles at the storm drains on the corners, but beyond that not a big deal (other than extra heavy traffic)

We'll see how the ride home goes...
I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

There's a lot of competition for that title around here.   [cheeky]
