Hello, G'day, Merry New Year...

Another forum to add to the list of forums....Anyways, missus likes the monster 696 and have a few questions.  I have been lurking throughout these wide intarwebs and figure the best place to get info is from those who live/breath Monster.

Personally, I have a 2007 Speed Triple (don't be jealous :P) and a 2007 R6 for the track.  Been sooked into trackdays now for 2 years.  Mainly ride with NESBA, but enjoy any org that invokes the culture.  Have been thinking about WERA/CCS next season....but who knows.  I have been riding for 9 years.  First bike was a 96 FZR 600.  The missus has been riding for 5 year, but a hiatus in Florida left her bikeless for 3 of those years.  Her first and only motorbike was a Ninja Doh-Fiddy.  She is interested in getting back in the addiction and enjoys the look of the naked-ness.  Plus, my Speedie is getting lonely in the garage while i am at the track.

Currently live in Richmond, VA.  Ride safe and see you out there

Welcome to the DMF, happy new year! [beer]

I'm sure your wife must be excited about the prospect of a new bike. ;D
Hopefully you'll get all your questions answered here. [thumbsup]

I think your closest local group is CAM (Capitol Area Monsters), you might want to also stop in and introduce yourself there.
And if your wife is interested in signing up too, we have a Women's Forum. :)

BTW, plenty of Triumph fans here too, hope you both get back out on the roads soon, looking forward to updates. [moto]

if/when we end up taking the plunge, she will probably join....though she isn't as much of a forum....errrr....fanatic as myself.

I think that anyone who appreciates a Duc, also respects the Triumph and vice versa.  Kinda like a ban of brothers/sisters against the Big 4

If you're in Richmond, look up the 821 Cafe. It's owned an operated my a board member, and they don't mind if you park your bike on the sidewalk [thumbsup] out front.

The bulk of the CAM gang is around DC - but there's some Richmonders and some folks out 64 on the coast.

Gotta love the Triumphs... I really want a chance to go spank a Daytona
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

will check that out..THANKS! [thumbsup]

though, I am pretty sure they don't have too much of a say of who parks on the sideway....more like RPD writing tickets and making more income for the city [leo]

Hey JonnyCinco,
Welcome, I live in Richmond also. I ride with a strange group of guys and one has a real nice speed triple. And the others ride a Buell Lightning and YZF1000. I have a M900 and we ride all year. I been trying to get some others that live round here to meet up and ride but no luck so far ha .
