except (other than twitter maybe) he really only gives an opinion when asked.  and i don't think he says anything to be controversial; he just says what he thinks.  mat's world is evidently very black and white.

in other words, the opposite of a fox broadcaster.

depends on who he's paired with to "egg" on in the extraction of his opinions....

where/when have you seen this?

i've only ever seen him (apparently) speak his mind, including not taking the bait when an interviewer gets.. bait'y.

true i like him but i'm not defending the guy.  i can understand why he rubs some the wrong way.  but i've never seen him be 'egged' out of his position.  -- this doesn't include mental warfare on other riders.
Like this is the racing, no?

That's a good way to put it. I agree with you and my post wasn't very clear. He's not a blabber mouth, he just says it like he sees it (when asked) and sometimes his comments step on some toes. His world is very black and white and if it bothers you then too f#@king bad. I just think the press loves asking him stuff hoping to get a fireball reply.

Anyway... back to Rapp and Ducati. [thumbsup] [moto]
