It is my understanding that the 848 can be 'upgraded' to a dry clutch and that the later model SCs actually had a wet clutch ... a couple of things to keep in mind.

Also because we can become accustomed to our own bikes and their sounds remember that most (if not all) modern Ducatis are going to sound a little uninspired if they have a standard exhaust ... just a friendly reminder.

From my understanding only the two seat model SC had wet clutch.

I have a Paul Smart 1000 and love it .
Haven't had the problems 748s speaks of... mine handles like its on rails, once you change the tires. It dose have a Ohlins steering damper.

It's a good all rounder,If your not so fussed on the fairing go for the SC1000 the SC1000s is a killer on your back on long runs as the bars are really low,the SC1000 has higher bars and an optional bar raisers and if you want dry clutch go for 05 06 .

here i am having some fun on the track (stock tires) running Diablo's now

Here she is mixing with some monsters  ;D

If I wasn't who i was, I wouldn't be who I am !

.......And ohlins forks and an ohlins shock ;D
The rest come with non adjustable forks, a basic rear shock, no steering damper and the same dodgy tyres [laugh]

I'll be keeping mine.
It's a beast, just needs a few things to fix it.
