"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Early Desmosedici??   [evil]

Nice find.  That engine looks better than the Apollo concept bike it came out of.  Not that the Apollo wasn't an attractive bike bike for the time, just that the engine sitting by itself looks like a work of art.  Here is a good article about the Apollo.

That black & red Pantah with white frame is my new favorite Pantah.

The Apollo engine is from teh Museo Ducati

That "black and red Pantah" is a race bike made by Brain Racing.  That's a Verlicchi monoshock frame and alu swingarm.  THat's a 500 case and wet clutch.  I wish I knew where they got that fairing, it's just so angry and pure looking.

I stole the pic off bevelheaven -- that bike is pure porn to me.

I like the fuel level sightglass  [thumbsup]

common feature on the old fibreglass-tank bikes.  a clear strip on the side.

those tanks are increasingly unused because of the ethanol gas in the states -- the fibreglass clouds and then dissolves with exposure to ethanol.  imagine that for your >$50,000 restored bike

This is the best looking motorcycle I've ever seen.

Here is a little article about this bike.  It has a non-standard Desmo valve system for higher revs and power.
